1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Mane (joinmane.com and any related apps or services), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Mane is operated by Christian G Flair LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Mane," "we," "us").
2. Platform Description
Mane is a booking and business management platform for barbers and solo service professionals. We provide tools to manage appointments, clients, deposits, payments, marketing, and communications. Mane is the technology platform — the underlying services (haircuts, etc.) are provided by independent professionals, not by us.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create a barber account, or 13+ to book as a client (with parent/guardian permission if under 18). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, keep it updated, and maintain the security of your login. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription Fees & Refunds
Barber subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe in U.S. dollars. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel from your dashboard at any time before the next billing date; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Past charges are not pro-rated or refunded except where required by law. Failed payments may result in suspension after 7 days.
5. Booking, Deposits & No-Show Fees
Barbers configure their own pricing, deposit requirements, and no-show or late-cancel policies. By booking through Mane, clients accept the policy displayed at checkout. Deposits and no-show fees are charged via Stripe under the barber's account. Disputes about service quality or refunds are between client and barber — Mane is not a party to that transaction.
6. Payments & Stripe
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers. Barbers must complete Stripe's onboarding (including identity verification) to receive payouts. Stripe's terms and fees apply in addition to these Terms.
7. Messaging & Notifications
By providing your phone number or email you consent to receive transactional messages about your appointments (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups) over WhatsApp and email, and — if you enable them — push notifications on your device. If you opt in separately, you may also receive promotional messages from your barber and from Mane. Reply STOP on any channel to unsubscribe at any time; reply HELP for help. Standard message and data rates may apply. Mane complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and with WhatsApp Business Platform policy; barbers are responsible for obtaining valid consent before adding clients to marketing campaigns.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access Mane; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or business logic; (c) resell, sublicense, or repackage access to Mane; (d) build a competing product using Mane data or features; (e) upload illegal, infringing, harassing, or misleading content; (f) misrepresent your identity or credentials. Violations may result in immediate suspension and legal action.
9. Client Data Ownership
Barbers own their client list and content. Mane acts as a data processor on the barber's behalf. On account termination, barbers may export their client data within 30 days. Clients control their own personal information and may request access, correction, or deletion via hello@joinmane.com.
10. Intellectual Property
All Mane software, design, branding, algorithms, and platform content are the exclusive property of Christian G Flair LLC, protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform during your active subscription. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without our written permission.
11. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, third-party outages, or events beyond our control.
11a. Third-Party AI Models
Mane uses third-party large-language-model providers (currently Anthropic Claude, with OpenAI as fallback) to power features including retention messaging, cut-memory notes, and agent automations. We do not guarantee continuous availability of any specific model. If a provider changes pricing, access, terms, or is itself restricted (including by government directive), we may swap providers, downgrade tier, or temporarily disable AI features without notice. Outputs are AI-generated; you remain responsible for reviewing them before they reach your clients.
12. Disclaimers
Mane is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by Florida law. We do not guarantee specific booking, revenue, or business outcomes.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Christian G Flair LLC's total aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Christian G Flair LLC, its members, officers, employees, and contractors from any third-party claim arising from (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) content or data you upload, (c) your services rendered to clients, or (d) your business operations.
15. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for material breach, non-payment, fraud, or unlawful use. Upon termination, your right to use Mane ends; you may export your data for 30 days; and outstanding fees remain due.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties will attempt to resolve disputes by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Palm Beach County, Florida, under its Commercial Arbitration Rules — except either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP or confidentiality violations. You and Mane each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where reasonable, communicated by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
