vs StyleSeat
StyleSeat charges your clients too.
Here's the full receipt.
StyleSeat is $35/mo — and that's the smallest number on the bill. Your clients pay a $2.35 fee every time they book, and a new client's first visit costs you 30% (up to $50). All of it is in their own help center. Mane is $19/mo and nobody pays a platform fee.

The receipt
One new client, $100 first service on StyleSeat: $30 to StyleSeat, and the client paid $2.35 just to book it.
80 bookings a month = your clients hand StyleSeat $188/mo in booking fees on top of your $35.
Mane: $19/mo. Your clients pay $0. New clients are 100% yours.
Common questions.
- Where do these numbers come from?StyleSeat's own help center, checked August 2026: $35/mo subscription, $2.35 client booking fee, and a New Client Connection fee of 30% (max $50) of the first appointment. Their pro-facing pricing page says "without hidden fees" and doesn't mention the last two — which is exactly why this page lists sources.
- Isn't 30% once per client a fair trade for new clients? It can be — that's pay-on-performance marketing, and if StyleSeat's marketplace genuinely fills your chair, the math can work. What isn't on their marketing page is the number itself, or the $2.35 your regulars pay every single time they rebook.
- My regulars book me every two weeks. What do they pay on each?On StyleSeat, $2.35 per booking — about $61 a year per loyal client. On Mane, nothing, forever.
- Can I leave StyleSeat with my client list?Their help center documents importing clients but not exporting them, so we can't tell you how that goes. On Mane the list is yours and exports anytime — that's a written promise, not a support ticket.
